Proposal to Eliminate Europe’s Largest Landfill Using Ukrainian Innovative Technology

With the utmost respect, I address you as one of Ukraine’s most sincere and devoted friends—someone who has offered invaluable support to our people during the most difficult times. Your visits and contributions to Ukraine’s recovery have given millions hope and faith in the future.

Allow me to present an initiative that can resolve one of the largest environmental disasters in Eastern Europe—and serve as a global model for sustainable transformation. Just 8 kilometers from Lviv, the historic cultural center of Western Ukraine, lies Europe’s largest landfill of municipal solid waste—the Hrybovychi landfill, with over 55 million tons of toxic waste. It poisons the land, water, air, and the health of hundreds of thousands of residents.

I am Oleksandr Yekimovskikh, a Ukrainian inventor and developer of the ARESAE technology—an autonomous plasma-chemical waste processing system with no global analogues. Using this technology, we can:

• Completely eliminate the landfill without harming the environment;
• Convert waste into synthesis gas and technical carbon, usable for energy and industry;
• Generate excess electricity valued at over $10 billion;
• Safely neutralize even radioactive waste, including nuclear reactor filter materials.

A Global Environmental Waste Recycling Initiative That Can Transform the Future of Humanity and the Planet

With the deepest respect and sincere admiration for your decision to devote your fortune to charitable projects that can change the future of humanity,  allow  me to present an initiative that has the potential to radically transform the ecological state of our planet and improve the health of billions of its inhabitants.

This is a unique, autonomous, and innovative plasma-chemical waste processing technology capable of converting virtually all types of waste — from municipal, medical, and industrial to radioactive — into useful substances: synthesis gas and technical carbon, both of which can be reused.

The essence of the technology:

In a sealed chamber with no air access, temperatures of approximately 5000°C are created, at which molecular bonds in all types of waste — including household, petrochemical waste, plastic, toxins, heavy metals, and radioactive compounds — are completely destroyed.

At the output, a high-calorific fuel gas is produced that can replace natural gas for household needs, heating, and energy supply for cities and rural areas, along with solid carbonaceous slags.

This invention includes an autonomous, closed-loop energy system that provides the unit with its own heat and electricity without any external power source.

Additionally, the process generates carbon and glass-like materials that are safe for the environment and suitable for reuse in industrial applications.

Radioactive waste:

It is particularly important to highlight the ability to neutralize radioactive materials — such as reagents from water filters in nuclear reactors — which are currently stored or buried in the ground, posing long-term environmental risks.

This technology can fully neutralize the activity of these substances, and the resulting radioactive carbon can be used for strictly controlled technological purposes, without any danger to people or nature.

All processes are validated and supervised by scientists from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv), ensuring the reliability, safety, and potential for international certification of the technology.
